We didn't start MatchaBrand because the matcha market needed another brand. We started it because every brand we found was either overpriced, overhyped, or just... not that good. Velvet boxes. Mystical origin stories. Price tags that required a sad moment of silence at checkout.

We wanted something better. So we built it.

We went to Uji, Japan, the birthplace of matcha, the gold standard, the real one, and we stayed. We built direct relationships with the farming families there. Learned the craft. Understood what separates genuinely great matcha from everything else on the market.

Then we cut out every broker, every middleman, every markup that had nothing to do with the leaves themselves.
